The Daughters of Zion (“DOZ”) mentor program endeavors to encourage personal worth, self esteem,
empowerment, and planning for the future to all young ladies (primarily ages 12-21) who desire to
become strong, compassionate, self-sufficient and virtuous women.
Vision: To reach young ladies on a personal and community level through mentoring and group
activities.
Mission: The Mission is for all young ladies to develop a sense of confidence, self worth, high moral
standards and community and in turn go on to mentor other young ladies to strive for excellence in all
areas of life and make a positive impact in society.
Objective: Through regular meetings and community outreach, we will share and discuss issues which
are important and relevant to young ladies today. Furthermore strategize solutions which function to
aid the issues young women face and develop problem solving techniques to fulfill their destiny as a
Daughter of Zion.
Motto/Slogan: “Training young ladies for their destiny in Christ and in life.”
Scripture Focus: Titus 2:3-4a (KJV) – The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh
holiness…teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women.
Goals:
• To meet once a month to discuss a preset topic, share, strategize, problem solve and
fellowship with all young ladies.
• To be able to express emotions and opinions in a non-judgmental, non-biased manner.
• To attain membership of each young lady who attends a meeting and encourage ongoing
participation.
• To invite participants to Love and Live Again Ministries worship service (particularly those
without a church home).
• Choose a community program to get involved in once every 3 months.
• To be alert to the concerns and dilemmas of DOZ participants and respond with the
appropriate referrals and resources.
• To maintain DOZ mentoring is NOT therapy or counseling.
Obtain new member data to identify potential DOZ participants.
Collect, input, and monitor attendance data of participants consistently.
Contact participants via phone/email to remind them of monthly meeting.
Monthly community outreach in geographical locations for attendance and membership of
DOZ.
IMMEDIATE GOAL/TASK: To implement outreach ideas to build the participant base and solidify the
commitment of Lady Leaders for the support and growth of the program.
